Before and After Care

It is considered to be semi-permanent, as compared to the traditional hair stroke technique. It is done using a very fine blade to deposit pigments into the epidermis. Color is added closer to the surface of the skin to allow the strokes appear crisp and very fine.

This method is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows, regardless if hair is present on the brow. The result is natural, beautiful brows that will not need corrected every day.

The pigments used in this method have been formulated to match your original eyebrow color, and if the eyebrows are still present, blend perfectly into them. Our Certified Artists have been extensively trained to identify the exact pigments of your brow to give you flawless, full brows.

Microblading is done with a hand-held, disposable tool to guarantee a sterile and safe environment for both the client and Microblading Artist. The tool contains tiny needles used to put the pigment into the skin.

At first, the brows will appear darker but fade significantly over a two week period. It is for this reason it is required to have a follow up appointment because you can never be sure how the pigment will distribute.

Since the start of my esthetic career in 2002 I have loved shaping and transforming eyebrows. Microblading only made sense.Training with the founder, Julia Anne Milin of Brow Design International left me feeling humbled, intrigued, excited and challenged.

Before our intensive three day training we were required to have our certification in blood-borne pathogen training through ProTrainings and it is required to be renewed annually. This is essential because Pennsylvania’s permanent makeup laws and licensing are very lenient it was extremely important to me to be educated to be able to provide a clean and sterile environment for my clients and myself.

Moving forward I decided to work towards my certification through Brow Design International because although it is not required for me to be certified in the state of Pennsylvania, it was important for me to become certified so my clients could receive the best and safest Microblading service possible.

For the next nine months I trained, practiced, and studied with Julia through her online certification testing. Julia’s attention to EVERY detail from symmetry to balance, hair strokes and patterns taught me how to create the most beautiful and natural brow shape. Completing my 10 testing levels and receiving my certification by one of the leading Microblading artists in the industry was a true honor for me. To take it a step further I attended a 9 hour live webinar through LI Pigments in color theory, skin tones and types to get the most natural healed results from our pigment line.

Microblading is a true art, this journey has allowed me to see brows in a whole new way and tap into my inner artist to create beautiful, lasting results.

Both of Tranquility’s Certified Microblading Artists were certified through Brow Design International, an internationally renowned program and the leading company in the United States for Microblading Training. Brow Design International was founded by Julia Anne Milin, an internationally recognized icon of the brow design industry for her undetectable microblading work. She was named “New York’s Microblading Guru” by ABC’s Good Morning America and Marie Claire Magazine.

In the state of Pennsylvania, it is not required for permanent makeup artists to be certified or trained in Microblading, sterilization techniques, or blood-borne pathogens. Microblading involves needles and it is extremely important for the client to know all possible risks when receiving this service from an uncertified or untrained artist.

At Tranquility WellSPA, both of our Microblading artists have been fully certified by Brow Design International, completed sterilization training to ensure a safe, clean work environment for clients and continue to educate themselves on perfecting their artistry.

Their training at Brow Design International included over a year of intense, 10 level course work critiqued by Julia Anne Milin herself with separate certifications in blood-borne pathogens, color theory and microblading theory. Submissions of their work on latex skins and live models were also a requirement for certification, with many of those photographs available in their portfolios and on their individual Instagram accounts. Both Brigette and Judy plan to extend their education every year with new techniques, theories and certifications.

As with any esthetic procedure involving needles, there are always risks. Be aware Microblading is considered a semi-permanent form of a tattoo. Some, although very uncommon risks can be:

  • Pain
  • Infection
  • Excessive swelling or bruising

Tranquility WellSPA follows the highest standards of sterilization. Our Certified Artists are ethical and only use the very best, safe, and most effective products for their clients.

Serving as the premier Microblading Studio for Wexford, Sewickley, Cranberry Township, Franklin Park, Gibsonia, Warrendale, Pittsburgh and all its surrounding areas.

Since I began my career in esthetics I have had a passion for brow correction. Eyebrows frame the face and enhance the eyes and in my earlier days as an image consultant I learned the eyes communicate more than the spoken word. Microblading has completely changed the way in which to perform brow correction!

Training was key for me as I come from a health care background.  I chose Brow Design International because of their focus on training, accuracy and perfection.  Certification included online instruction and practice on latex skins in preparation for the in-class instruction.  I completed 3 full days of sterilization, proper handling of tools and equipment, color theory, micorblading theory and practice on live models.  It didn’t end there! To become certified by Julia Milin, an icon in the field, there was a series of 10 tests to be submitted that Julia herself would critique and evaluate for perfection. The final submission were photos of my work of before, after and healed results, many I shared on my Instagram account.

Finally, after 10 months of practice and testing I became certified by Brow Design.  I also obtained a separate certification from Girlzink on in depth color theory to understand skin tones and pigments as often with the depositing of pigment the skin tone can alter the final result.  I have the support of my trainers and based upon my passion, education and commitment to excellence I am very excited to provide this service to the clientele of Tranquility WellSPA.

I love my job everyday! The world of esthetics is very challenging and rewarding. Microblading has proven to be that and more. Brow Design International and my trainer Julia Milin helped me realize my potential as an artist through this journey. The joy and satisfaction reflected on a client’s face is beyond rewarding. Perhaps, it’s fair to say microblading is raising eyebrows!
